Interviews with Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner are set to be aired as part of an investigation into the Capital Riot from January 2021.
The House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the US Capitol is expected to air 'video recordings' of their interviews with key personnel. Trump and Kushner both feature alongside other witnesses as part of six public hearings that will be televised. The first of the hearings will air on Thursday 9 June.
The committee – comprising of seven Democrats and two Republicans – is aiming to identify if the riot was part of a phase in a 'multi-tentacled plot' led by former president Donald Trump.

Democrat Rep. Jamie Raskin of the members of the committee promised in April that the hearings would 'blow the roof off of the House.'
Despite the first hearing airing in less than a week, the witness list has yet to be finalised. The first hearing is expected to explain the context of the riot in its wider role in Trump's alleged attempts to rig the election in his favour.
During the rioting that occurred in January 2021, protesters and rioters could be heard chanting 'Hang Mike Pence' referring to the former vice president.

One witness name that is likely to be called is ex-Mark Meadows aide Cassidy Hutchinson.
Hutchinson is reported to have told the panel last month that Trump was supportive of the violent threats and chants from the rioters.
The former aide is also likely to testify live and explain what evidence she has previously shared with the committee.

Prior to these upcoming televised hearings, there have reportedly been hours of witness testimony and evidence.
Some of the evidence has indicated that Meadows in his role as White House Chief of Staff served as a conduit to Trump for many of the ex-president's allies including his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani and even his son Donald Trump Jr.
Some of the thousands of text messages handed to the committee by Meadows show numerous prominent Republicans and other members of Trump's circle reaching out to Meadows about efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Dozens of these messages have already been made public by news channel CNN.
The live hearings come shortly after one January 6 rioter has been jailed for his part in the US Capitol attack.
Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, an alleged Nazi sympathiser and Army reservist, tried and failed to convince a jury that he didn't know the Capitol building is where Congress meets, causing several jurors to scoff at his claims.
Hale-Cusanelli is the fifth January 6 rioter to be convicted by a jury and faces up to 20 years behind bars for, among other charges, the felony of obstructing an official proceeding.
